The Winslow Windows & Doors Guarantee
When a window goes in wrong, you’ll know it. The first breeze finds the gap. The first storm finds the seal. That’s why our guarantee is simple enough to fit on a handshake but strong enough to last a century. Ed Winslow has put his name on every job we’ve done in Little Gables since 2011, and that name still answers the phone. If the work isn’t right, we come back and make it right. No fine print. No expiration date. No arguing about who’s responsible. That’s the Done Right Promise, and it’s the same promise we’d make to a neighbor on the next block over.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship. Every window, door, and roof we install gets covered by our Done Right Promise for as long as we exist as a company, and if a detail isn’t right, we’re back on your doorstep.
- Parts and product handling. When materials arrive from PGT, CGI, CWS, ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, Mr-Glass, Therma-Tru, or we inspect every piece before it goes in, so a flawed unit never becomes your problem.
- Cleanup. We haul off old sashes, door frames, roofing debris, and packaging, then sweep the work area, because the job isn’t done until your walkway is clear and your driveway is yours again.
- On-time arrival. We tell you when we’re coming, and that’s when we show up, in uniform and with a background-checked technician whose name you already know.
- Honest pricing. The number on your written estimate is the number on the invoice, and if a second opinion from another company makes you wonder, we’ll review it free.
Our Satisfaction Promise
If you walk your Little Gables home after our crew packs up and something doesn’t feel right, you call us. A live person answers, any hour, every day. You’ll talk to someone who knows the job we did for you, and we’ll schedule a return visit to make it right. If we missed a seal, a screw, a shingle, a threshold, or anything else, we fix it at no charge. Ed’s name is on the door, and on every job we do. That’s not a slogan, it’s how a locally owned company in business since 2011 has survived and grown one referral at a time. The Done Right Promise means a standard of accountability written into every job.
Licensed & Insured Backing
Paperwork isn’t the promise, but it’s the proof behind it. Winslow Windows & Doors is a licensed and insured Florida contractor with a published address and a license number any homeowner can verify. That means if something goes wrong on the job, you’re not left holding the bag. Our insurance protects your property while we work on it, and our license means the state has confirmed we meet the standards to do window, door, and roofing work legally. Plenty of companies can print a guarantee. Far fewer can point to a license, a published address, and an owner who still lives in the community. We’ve got all three.
How Much Does a Warranty Matter in Florida?
In Little Gables, a warranty isn’t just a comfort. It’s a structural question. Salt air, humidity, hurricane-force wind, and the unrelenting Florida sun all work against windows and doors faster here than almost anywhere else in the country. A window installed without proper flashing may hold for five years then fail spectacularly during tropical storm season. A door that isn’t shimmed correctly will sag, bind, and eventually leak. Our workmanship promise exists because we know exactly what this climate does to materials, and we install accordingly from the first hour on site.
What the 36500-Day Promise Actually Means Day to Day
Three hundred sixty-five hundred days. That’s one hundred years. We don’t expect anyone to collect on a warranty in 2125, but the number makes a point that a two-year or five-year warranty can’t. A national chain can close an office, shift ownership, or rebrand. Ed Winslow lives here. His phone number works at 2 a.m. The promise is backed by a person, not a policy number, and that person has been answering calls in this community since 2011. If something we installed fails because of our workmanship, we come back. Not a subcontractor. Not a call center. Us. The one down the road.
What About Manufacturer Warranties?
The windows and doors themselves carry their own manufacturer warranties. PGT, CGI, Therma-Tru, and the rest of our authorized brands stand behind their products, and we’ll walk you through exactly what each brand covers before you sign anything. Our job is to make sure the installation doesn’t void those warranties and that the product performs the way it was engineered to. If a part fails under manufacturer warranty, we’ll help you file the claim and get the replacement moving. If our installation was the problem, that’s on us under the Done Right Promise either way, you’re covered.
Do You Put the Guarantee in Writing?
Yes. Every estimate we write includes the Done Right Promise in plain language, along with the standing offers that never expire: $40 off any repair over $200, a free second opinion on any written estimate, no trip charge inside the home county, and a permanent 10 percent discount for seniors and veterans. Those aren’t promotions. They’re commitments, and they’ve been in place since Ed founded the company. Upfront pricing means the quote you approve is the price you pay. No surprises on the invoice. If a job takes an extra day or needs an unexpected part, you’ll know before it happens, and the price doesn’t move without your written approval.
What’s Not Covered (We’re Honest About This)
A workmanship guarantee can’t cover storm damage from a tree branch through the glass, a car backing into a door, or a roof that fails because it’s twenty-five years old and past its service life. What it covers is our work. If the flashing leaks, the frame is out of square, the door doesn’t latch, the roof decking wasn’t sealed properly, that’s us, and we fix it. If the product itself has a factory defect, the manufacturer’s warranty handles it, and we help you through the claim. We’d rather tell you what a guarantee does and doesn’t do before you buy than hide behind a vague promise nobody can collect on.
Will the Price Change Once Work Starts?
No. The price on your approved written estimate is the price you pay. If we open a wall and find rot, termite damage, or something else no one could see from the outside, we stop work, show you the problem, and give you a written change order before we spend another dollar. You approve it or you don’t. There’s no surprise invoice at the end of the project. That’s the no-hassle upfront pricing we’ve offered since 2011, and it’s why homeowners in Little Gables keep recommending us to their neighbors block by block.
How Long Will the Job Take?
Most window replacements run one to two days depending on how many openings and what the framing looks like once we get inside. Door installations are typically a one-day job. Roof replacement ranges from two to five days depending on the size of the roof and the material. Siding, tile, and metal all move at different speeds, and we’ll give you a clear written timeline with your estimate. The guarantee covers getting it done right, not done fast. A rushed flashing job in Little Gables will fail during the first serious rain, and that’s a callback neither of us wants. Call (727) 291-4678 to schedule your free estimate and we’ll give you a straight answer on timing for your specific project.
Do You Pull the Permits?
Yes. For every job in Little Gables that requires a permit, we handle the paperwork, the inspections, and the final sign-off. Permits protect you as a homeowner by ensuring the work is inspected by someone who doesn’t work for us. Unpermitted window and roof work can become a nightmare when you try to sell the house or file an insurance claim after a storm. We’d rather take the extra day or two to do it legally, because we’re still going to be here when the next homeowner asks for the paperwork.
What Happens If I Find a Problem Six Months From Now?
You call (727) 291-4678. A live person answers. You tell us what you’re seeing, and we send a technician to look at it. If it’s our workmanship, we fix it under the Done Right Promise. If it’s a product issue, we help you with the manufacturer warranty. If it’s something else entirely, we’ll tell you honestly and give you a straight price if you want us to handle it. Either way, you get an answer. That’s the whole point of calling the one down the road instead of a national call center.
