Meet the Little Gables Team Behind Winslow Windows & Doors
Most window and door companies send a different crew every time. We don’t. The people who measure your openings, install your impact windows, and replace your sliding glass doors are the same people who live within a few miles of you in Little Gables and the surrounding neighborhoods. Ed Winslow built this crew the slow way: hiring one person at a time, watching how they work, and keeping the ones who treat a stranger’s home like their own. These are the names you’ll see on the truck when we pull up.
Our People
Mike R., Lead Technician
Mike has been with Winslow Windows & Doors since 2014, which makes him the longest-tenured installer on the Little Gables crew. He started in residential window replacement and now runs lead on most impact window and door projects we take on in the area. Mike holds PGT and CGI factory installation certifications, which means he’s trained directly by the manufacturers on proper anchoring and sealing for Miami-Dade rated openings. When he’s not on a ladder, he’s usually rebuilding the carburetor on a 1978 Chevy truck that he swears will run forever. His favorite local install is anything on a 1920s Spanish Revival, because he likes proving that old frames can hold modern impact glass when the prep work is done right.
Luis A., Senior Installer
Luis joined the team in 2017 after spending six years doing commercial storefront work, and that background shows in how he handles custom and geometric windows. If a job involves an eyebrow arch, a radius window, or an unusual corner opening, Luis is the one who does the layout and sets the first piece. He’s certified for ES Windows and ECO Window Systems installs and handles most of our energy-efficient window retrofits. Luis grew up in West Miami and still plays in a Sunday-league baseball league at Tropical Park. He’s the one our customers ask for by name when they call about patio doors with a tricky track alignment.
Danielle S., Service Coordinator
Danielle is the person you’ll talk to when you call Winslow Windows & Doors. She has worked with Ed since 2019 and knows the schedule, the crew, and the Little Gables permit landscape well enough to answer most questions before she transfers you to a field lead. She’s also the reason our written estimates and follow-up calls happen when we say they will. Danielle coordinates everything from first quote to final walkthrough, and she tracks our standing offers so every eligible customer gets the senior discount or the $40 repair credit without having to remind us. Before joining Winslow, she worked in property management in Coral Gables, and she can tell you which HOA board in the area will nitpick a door color before you even submit the application. She’s also fluent in Spanish, which helps a lot of our longstanding local customers.
Tommy W., Apprentice Installer
Tommy is the newest member of the crew, working under Mike and Luis since early 2023. He’s a Miami native who came to us through a local trade school program and is working toward his manufacturer certifications for PGT and Therma-Tru entry systems. On job sites, Tommy handles material prep, weather sealing, and the detail work that keeps an install clean, and he’s already earned a reputation with the team for caulking a line straight enough to pass any inspector’s eye. He’s also the one who labels every box and keeps the truck organized, which means our jobs move faster and nothing gets forgotten on a three-hour drive across the county. Off the clock, he’s either fishing off Key Biscayne or fixing up an old sailboat with his dad.
One Standard, Every Job
This crew works under a standard that doesn’t change whether we’re swapping a single window in Little Gables or doing a full roof replacement in Kendall. Everything gets installed the way Ed set it up from the first year in business in 2011: measured twice, anchored to manufacturer spec, sealed for Florida rain, and checked at the end of the day. The Done Right Promise applies to every job this team touches, and Ed puts his name on that promise. That means the people on this page don’t get to shrug and walk away from a window that leaks or a door that binds. They come back and make it right. Ed’s name is on the door, but more importantly, it’s on the work these four people put into your home. When you call (727) 291-4678, Danielle answers. When the truck shows up, it’s Mike or Luis or Tommy in a uniform with a company ID. That’s how we’ve done it for over 15 years, and it’s how we’ll keep doing it down the road.
